What is Geoenvironmental Health?
Geoenvironmental Health is a technical-scientific discipline that identifies risk factors in indoor environments — of geophysical, technological and chemical origin — which can influence comfort, health and well-being in homes and workplaces.
What is Geoenvironmental Health for?
If we know these risk factors, we can implement measures to improve the environment in these spaces, creating healthy homes and offices.
What is a "sick house"?
A “sick house” is a space where environmental factors may contribute to discomfort and poor well-being. By identifying the causes, it is possible to take practical action to improve the indoor environment.
What do we assess in Geoenvironmental Health Consultancy?
In our Geoenvironmental Health consultancy, we assess different components of the indoor environment, including:
- Electromagnetic Contamination Measurement (electromagnetic fields/EMF): The measurement of electromagnetic contamination consists of assessing the levels of electromagnetic fields present in the space, coming from sources such as electrical installations, equipment, Wi-Fi networks, electricity transmission lines or telecommunications antennas. This analysis makes it possible to see if the existing values are within recommended levels and to identify opportunities for improvement in the indoor environment.
- Measurement and Mitigation of Radon Gas: Radon gas is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that can accumulate inside buildings, especially on ground floors and in basements.
Through measurement, we assess the presence of this gas in the space and, whenever necessary, propose suitable mitigation measures to reduce its concentration and improve the safety of the indoor environment.
- Indoor Air Quality Assessment: this makes it possible to identify and analyse factors that directly influence the health and comfort of the people using a space, such as ventilation, air renewal and the presence of potential sources of indoor pollution: carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, volatile organic compounds, particles, humidity, among others.
Through this service, it is possible to diagnose invisible problems that may affect well-being, concentration and respiratory health, while proposing strategies to improve the indoor environment.
The goal is to create healthier, more balanced spaces that are suitable for everyday life.
This type of assessment is especially relevant in homes, schools, offices and other spaces used continuously, where air quality plays a key role in people’s comfort, productivity and health.
What is an eco-healthy space?
It’s a space that combines these characteristics:
- Use of natural and local elements
- Use of organic materials with low environmental impact
- High energy efficiency
- Efficient use of water
- Use of 100% renewable energies
- High thermal, lighting and acoustic comfort
- High indoor air quality
- Reduced waste production
- Durability and adaptability
- Inclusive
Practical examples of Geoenvironmental Health

EXAMPLE 1
A fifty-year-old woman with few words and smiles contacted us with a glimmer of hope that was reborn when she saw a TV interview in which we mentioned some of her symptoms.Incredulous, she consulted our Facebook page, website and blog; she read and re-read all our interviews and, finally, she contacted us.
She already knew that Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which she had been diagnosed with, is a recurring problem in the world of geobiology. With an incapacitating illness and medicated for several years, this lady saw her personal, social and professional life collapse. She consulted several doctors and underwent various alternative treatments to conventional medicine, but her symptoms persisted unabated. She often woke up more tired than when she went to bed, because the muscle and joint pain that ran through her entire body wouldn’t let her sleep. This lady lived in deep exhaustion with frequent migraines and a lack of energy and concentration.
On site, we noticed that our client was sleeping, or trying to sleep, completely immersed in artificial radiation from a wide variety of sources.A few months after installing an automatic electrical disconnector, correctly grounding the electric fields in the sockets and putting up an anti-radiation curtain on the balcony, she was able to sleep for a few hours at a time. The pain subsided and her body responded more effectively to the medication.

EXAMPLE 2
“There were many nights when our son came into our room, crying and asking to sleep with us.”Aware of the importance of a geobiological study for people’s health, the owners of the house opted for a study of the whole property instead of the children’s room.
It was a decision that certainly avoided a number of future problems, because when we began to survey the site, we detected a stream of underground water that ran along the entire left-hand side of the child’s bed and, surprisingly, extended all the way to his parents’ bed.
After repositioning all the beds and painting the wall of the parents’ bedroom with an anti-radiation paint, the problems detected were solved. As simple as that!
The child never showed fears or insomnia at night again; on the contrary, he started sleeping like a little angel (his mother’s affectionate words) and this preventive attitude protected both father and son from possible future health problems.

How can a sick home affect a family?
- Sleep disturbances
- Diseases
- Infertility
- Stress
- Demotivation and discouragement
- Tiredness
Healthy homes contribute to healthy families. And healthy families are happy families!
How can a sick building affect a company?
- Physical/Medical Discomfort
- Stress and Demotivation
- Absenteeism
- Reduced Talent Retention
- Loss of productivity
Healthy buildings with low environmental impact, which care about the health and well-being of their staff and take measures to improve the quality of the workplace and the lives of their employees, are rewarded with INCREASED PRODUCTIVITY and LIABILITY, which consequently INCREASES THE PROFITABILITY AND VALUE OF THE COMPANY.
